Lust and obsession, the two are closely intertwined. One can lead to the other if the emotion isn’t kept in check.
Lust isn’t love.
Lust is a hunger, a deep craving, an intense desire, but that’s not love. Love is something more solid and true. Something that won’t fade, but the warm glow that such intense want can give when when the desire is met, can often be confused with love.
So, for today’s prompt, I give you Lust and Obsession. Write a scene in which lust drifts into that can’t-live-without need that is obsession.
How do your characters make that jump from wanting something to the can’t-live-without it phase? What triggers this response and how does this effect every aspect of their lives.
Happy writing everyone. May your muse give you many wicked ideas and inventions through out your day.
