Interview & Giveaway with Debut M/M Author, Sasha Devlin

I’m very excited. Today I have a very special guest, Ms. Sasha Devlin. A fantastic writer who I’ve known a couple of years now. She recently won Tawny Taylor’s, SOME LIKE IT HOT Contest and her debut book, In the Light of Day came out March 23rd . She’s been kind enough to sit down with me for a small chat, mostly because she likes me and she knows I’d pout if she refused.

Hehe, I’m happy to say I got a sneak peek at this and, seriously, this is a great story. She’ll be giving away a free ebook to one lucky person. All you have to do is comment to win. 🙂 You have until Sunday at Midnight EST. Winner will be announced Monday morning.

CM: Thanks for sitting down to talk to me, Hon. You look fantastic. Is that a glow I see in your eyes? Is that excitement or the near insanity of an over-stress author?

SD: Thanks! Let’s say it’s a little from column A, a little from column B.  Though those who know me well would say I’m never that far from insanity…..

CM: This is your first book. That has got to be exciting. How’s does it feel to be able to say to all your friends that you’re a published author?

SD: It’s still very surreal.  All the way up until the book went live on the “New Releases” page, I was still expecting to get a message that it had all been some unfortunate typo.  It helps that my friends kept forcing reality at me.

CM: So, now that you’re going to be rich and famous, how about treating me to lunch sometime? On your dime, of course. lol

SD: Sure! I’ll even let you Super Size it. 😉

CM: LOL, I can spring for the Super Size.

CM: Your men are quite an intense couple. Confused and scared for different reasons, which gave the story a wonderful tension throughout. Which character was the most difficult to write, and why?

SD: Cooper.  Definitely Cooper.  He kept saying and doing these little things and I nearly bashed my brains in trying to figure out what his damage was.  In the end, it was worth it.  It made him someone that Jaren (and hopefully readers) could love.

CM: Pimp yourself, hon. Tell us all about this delicious book of yours. Two hot men, in a dangerous situation, alone, in a cabin… oh wait. I was supposed to let you do that. Go ahead. I was drooling, don’t mind me.

SD: LOL.  But you were doing such a fine job!  In the Light of Day is a tale of two very sexy, very troubled men whose past together might be more dangerous than the killer stalking them in the night.  It’s sexy and suspenseful with a generous side of angst.

CM: Thanks so much for your time, Sasha. You’ve been great. Is there anything else you’d like to tell the readers?

SD: For those who are strictly readers, I hope you enjoy my complicated guys.  I wasn’t sure I could write them, and now that the story is over, I’m sad to see them go.

For those of you who are also writers, I encourage you to keep at it.  You just never know when you’ll have the right story at the right time.

CM: And just for future reference,it’s in the friend contract (see the fine print). I reserve the right to interview you at will and torture you with more questions. lol.

Congratulations on your first book, my friend, and thanks for stopping by. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more from you in the future.

In the Light of Day, by Sasha Devlin.

Jaren’s birthday weekend isn’t going as planned. Instead of being in the arms of the man he fell hard for, he’s alone at his lake cabin. With a bottle of wine. When Cooper shows up on his doorstep, all appears right with the world. Until Jaren realizes the real reason Cooper is there.

Cooper didn’t mean to fall for someone he was working a case with. And certainly not a man. Cooper always thought he was straight, but posing as gay lovers to infiltrate a pornography ring had felt all too real. Now he has feelings for the sexy younger man. Strong ones. Just as he’s prepared to drive to the cabin and give Jaren a birthday in bed he’ll never forget, Cooper gets word the criminal they put away has escaped—and is coming after Jaren.

Jaren finally has the man of his dreams where he wants him, but for all the wrong reasons. He can trust Cooper to guard his body, but what about his heart?
