Inspiration – Beach Discoveries

I’ve been away recently so I haven’t been blogging since around Christmas. Life seems to have a way of getting complicated at times. But, I’m back and brought you a bit of inspiration.

With the bad weather, I was definitely in need of something warm and yummy to spark my muse. These two men seem to be having a nice time on the beach. They look like such a sweet couple and so warm. I do miss the summer, I can’t wait for the heat to return.

These two definitely have a story that needs to be told. Especially if the beach looks more like this from the opposite direction.

This next image is, Death on the Beach by Gilad Benari. I found the image on Deviantart. The photographer has some really neat stuff. Lots of wonderful surreal and slices of life images.

Imagining how these two photos might go together hopefully inspires some interesting ideas. Have a great week .

A Little Tuesday Inspiration

Good morning. I found some interesting things for you today. I hope they spark your creativity and even better, you have fun with it.

I’m not sure where I found this but while browsing I stumbled across this. I couldn’t resist sharing it.

Superhero slash anyone?

I don’t usually write fanfic but this statue sure makes me tempted to give it a try. Just for fun of course, it would probably never see the light of day, but it’d be fun. I mean, Batman has all those wonderful gadgets … *cough*

Anyway… this next one is fun too. I’m just in a fun sort of mood today. The don’t take yourself too seriously sort of mood. It’s good for you to laugh.

This is Merry Christmas by Hankins over at deviantart. Isn’t this cute? lol Poor snowman. He looks a wee bit upset.

The artist has some really interesting art in his gallery, well worth checking out. He’s got neat 3D work that are very well done.

Last but not least, something a little more my speed, but no less fun. This Christmas piece is called Once Upon a Christmas by Dholl.

I love the feel of this piece. Fun, dark and spooky all wrapped up into one great little image. Great stuff.

Well, I hope these left you with something to have fun with. Have a great holiday.

Rugby, my new favorite sport.

Good morning all. I hope everyone’s holiday weekend went well.

Here’s this week’s inspiration for you. I love this image. The more you look at it the more you see. lol Gotta love it.

A friend found this for me. Not sure where, but she knows me well. 😀

This second I got from The photography over there is stunning. Well worth checking out if you have the time. Be forewarned though, its NSFW so I would suggest looking it over when you aren’t sitting at your desk at work.

Well, I hope these inspired some interesting sports related plot bunnies. Have a great week!

Lighting a Fire to Inspire

Okay, it a poor rhyme but you clicked the link so you’re at least a little curious what this week has to offer. Since last week was water, I thought I’d do fire this week.

These vary from the strange and morbid to damn cool. This first one is Watching You Burn by NaiveCrimson (Kaz) over at

I love the sharp contrast of the foreground and background and the lighting is pretty cool. The mood is nice touch of horror that I really liked.

The artist has some other cool stuff so don’t be shy when you visit his galley.

This next one is a fireman. I found him on google. *sigh* Who doesn’t like a hero? gotta have a hero for those budding plot bunnies I’ve so generously given you. 😀 He even has tattoos, which for me is a huge plus. I love ink on a man.

So, now you have your hero and a villain and a crime. Sounds like a story to me. lol Drop by and tell me how it all works out in the end.

Have a great week!

Diving into Inspiration

Good morning everyone. Today I thought I’d take a look at the deep blue sea for some inspiration.

The ocean has always fascinated me. All that unexplored territory just out of reach. An entirely different world in our own backyards. No trips to Mars necessary, the ocean is an alien world with countless secrets we have felt to find.

This is Sand Castle, by Artsgre1e over at deviantart. He has some pretty cool stuff. Well worth checking out if you have the time.

This second one is Into The Light by SeawaterWitch (Mira) at deviantart. She has some pretty neat stuff over there.

The way the light and bubbles bring you through the image is pretty nice. Finding an image of a merman that didn’t look like a cartoon or photoshoped wasn’t easy, but this one caught my eye.

I hope these left you with some interesting inspiration this week. Have a great day.

Welcome To My Parlor — Inspiration

I was in a creepy-crawly mood today so I went in search of something a little out of the ordinary. If this doesn’t inspire some creativity I’m not sure what will.

This is Hunter by Aleksandra (Heavens-drive) from The image is a bit haunting and a little hot too. All trapped and stuck unable to move completely at the mercy of whoever happens to lurk in the shadows.

Okay, I’ll stop now before I give myself plot bunnies. And trust me, I have enough of those to last me years.

This room seemed to go with the captured man. I can imagine him investigating and ending up snared in a web of some sort.

The photo called The Green Lair by Deejay (sunflame78). Love the color I think because it contrasts so well with the lack of green in the branches. Really neat.

That’s your inspiration this week. Hope it stirs up some interesting ideas. Have fun and see you again soon. 🙂

Pumpkins! And Romance.

I’m being lazy tonight. Halloween is a chaotic holiday around here. Setting up the spooks, and feeding mass numbers of teenage boys all geeked up to scare the neighbors, it takes a lot out of a girl.

Instead, I’m posting my pumpkin carving skills. Yes. I did these all myself, no, I did not use premade templates. I did however use the Dremel, it makes for faster shading in the big parts. I go in with a wire tool for finer stuff.

This one is Fire. It turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

This second one is Halloween, this one took sometime, but I carved the top where you take off the head to put a candle in so that it looked like eyes. The teeth look really awesome in the light but the photo doesn’t really do the detail justice.

This last one is melting. It was the most difficult to do, but mostly because I needed to make it look like a face. I’m still not satisfied with the results, but I’ve made mental notes for next year. The eyes didn’t quite work out the way I had hoped.

Last but not least. This one is NOT MINE. Just an FYI, but I thought it was cool and well, fitting for my blog when I found it on google.

Now THIS one is amazing. Very romantic, *sigh* so I had to share.

That is one skilled carver! Looks like something right off an old romance novel. Absolutely love it!

Anyway, have a great week everyone and hope you had a fantastic Halloween.
